Just Food works towards a vibrant, just and sustainable food system in the Ottawa region. We are one of their partners in their start-up farm program. Our bees are located at the farm site in Blackburn Hamlet. Check our the many great things this organization is doing. You can usually find us at the Just Food Farm Stand, corner of Innes and Pepin Court, every Sunday from 9am-2pm
Transition Ottawa faces the challenges of peak oil, economic instability, and climate change through practical solutions on a local scale. Corrie and Ron are actively involved in this organization hosting monthly meet-ups, fundraising, and more.
Permaculture Institute of Eastern Ontario teaches hands on permaculture through a Permaculture Design Certificate course as well as other workshops and community engagement.
Overbrook Community Garden was officially launched in 2013. Corrie is one of the co-founders and coordinators.
The Wild Garden provides community members with local, organic and sustainably harvested wild foods and herbs, through the Wild Food & Herb CSA. The Wild Garden is one of our neighbours at the Just Food farm site and we occasionally partner to deliver herbalism workshops.
Hidden Harvest Ottawa organizes harvests for existing trees and sells edible trees that make sense for Ottawa’s future harvests. Fruit and nuts that would otherwise go to waste on public and private property are rescued by connecting tree owners with those eager to harvest local food.
